Ambassadors Committee Serves as the High-Profile Face – and Jackets – of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce

Recognizable by their red coats and welcoming smiles, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassadors committee serves as the high-profile face of the Chamber.  Whenever a ribbon is cut, a boot is kicked or the holidays arrive in Sheridan, the Ambassadors are there to celebrate.

In 2025 alone, the Ambassadors participated in 173 events across Sheridan County. They’ve participated in over 540 events in the past three years.

“I have always been volunteer-oriented and being an Ambassador allows me to help with awesome programs that really are the heartbeat of our community; events like the Boot Kick-off and Christmas Stroll and the Community Holiday Dinner,” Ambassador Ginny Rieger said. “When I moved to Sheridan, these events were opportunities for me and my kiddos to connect with others and share in the excitement of small-town life. Now, I get to help behind the scenes and help provide those opportunities for others!”

First Northern Bank’s Amy Blumenstock said becoming an Ambassador helped her truly become part of a community she loves.

“I became an Ambassador to be part of the community,” Blumenstock said. “When I moved here in 2011, everyone was so welcoming. When the opportunity became available to become an Ambassador, I jumped on it. It brings me great joy to be a part of welcoming new businesses and members to our community.”

The Ambassadors serve as “high profile” representatives of the Chamber, promoting new businesses, encouraging progressive growth in established business and promoting conventions, tourism and recreation in the Sheridan County area. They officially greet visiting dignitaries, celebrities and distinguished guests; welcome new businesses to the community and celebrate grand openings; and visit established businesses as time permits.

The Ambassadors are most frequently seen at ribbon cuttings throughout Sheridan County where they welcome new Chamber member businesses and celebrate new locations and leadership of existing businesses. In addition, the Ambassadors are key volunteers at Chamber events throughout the year including the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Boot Kickoff, Christmas Stroll and the Awards of Excellence.

The Ambassadors also represent the Chamber at community events , recently volunteering at events ranging from the Dayton Days Parade to the Big Horn Home Builders Association Home and Garden Show to the Karz and Motorcycle Show.

In 2026, the Ambassadors’ committee is being led by Chair Katie Culver, Vice-Chair Jessica Lucas and Secretary Rosemary Garber. The committee is limited to 36 members, who are accepted via an application and interview process. New applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
