How to Get Chamber Bucks

Purchasing Chamber Bucks

Be sure to have the dollar amount needed for each certificate and method of payment. We accept cash, checks and credit/debit cards. There is a $0.50 charge per certificate. For check quantities greater than 20, the charge per check is $0.25.

Chamber Bucks are available
in any denomination.

Important Notes

The “Pay to the Order of” line on the check is for the business name where the check is being redeemed, not for the gift recipient’s name. Also consider the dollar amount per check. For the recipient, it often is better to receive Chamber Bucks checks in smaller increments instead of one large amount (for example, four $50 Chamber Bucks instead of one $200 Chamber Buck).

How to Use Chamber Bucks

Chamber Bucks can be used as payment at any local business or organization. We, of course, encourage you to use it at one or more of our Sheridan County Chamber member businesses and organizations. All* of these businesses should accept a Chamber Bucks check at its full value, the same as the member would accept a personal check or cash.

What If I Don’t Use the Full Amount?

If the purchase price is less than the dollar amount of the Chamber Bucks check, the difference should be returned to you in cash if possible (be sure to ask – store policy will govern). The business or organization will then deposit the Chamber Bucks as a check, for its full value. The checks are fully funded by a separate bank account of the Chamber of Commerce.

Do Chamber Bucks Expire?

Each Chamber Bucks check is valid for one year and has a “void after” date, for banking purposes. If this date has passed, contact the Chamber for possible re-issuance with a current date.
