Garstad and Lee to provide keynote address for Ignite Conference

In the engaging and interactive keynote address of the Ignite Conference, a cowboy from the west and a city boy from the east will come together to share the powerful lessons they’ve learned from their more than 75 years of combined experience.

Drawing from the grit of the rodeo arena and the fast-faced intensity of the hockey rink, presenters Douglas D. Lee and Zane Garstad will reveal how leadership opportunities appear in unexpected places and provide advice on how to seize those opportunities with confidence, resilience and adaptability.

“Leadership and Life Lessons from the Rodeo Arena and Hockey Link” will be filled with real-world wisdom, humor and actionable takeaways, and is sure to be a highlight of the conference.

Growing up in a rodeo family in Canada, Garstad attended Sheridan College on a rodeo scholarship. After time on the professional rodeo circuit, he served as Sheridan College’s rodeo team head coach and in various administrative positions in admissions and enrollment services and as director of college services. Retiring in 2020, Garstad started a new career in real estate as a sales associate. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from UW and a master’s degree in public relations from Montana State University.

Lee retired in 2015 after 36 years of working in homebuilding and mortgage banking. In the construction industry, Lee has served as a construction superintendent, new homes salesperson and sales and marketing director. He also was a mortgage loan officer for JPMorgan Chase, branch and area manager of Norwest Mortgage/Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and a regional manager of Citizens Bank Mortgage. Lee is a Leadership Evergreen graduate.

Registration costs $175 for chamber members and $210 for non-chamber members. Additional registrations from the same company will receive a $10 discount per registration. Your registration includes five breakout sessions, morning and breaktime refreshments, lunch and bonus keynote and wrap-up sessions.
