‘Effects of Land Use Policies’ Topic of Third Lunchtime Conversations Session
The third session of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce’s “Lunchtime Conversations About Open Spaces” will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 12 p.m. at Luminous Brewhouse. The discussion will center around “Effects of Land Use Policies.”
Coordinated by the Chamber’s Ag & Natural Resources Committee, each session features a panel of representatives from area businesses and organizations who will jumpstart the conversation and interactively explore with attendees what is balanced use of our open space, and can we continue to balance that use into the future? They’ll also discuss the importance of open spaces to our community’s economy and culture now and into the future. Attendees are encouraged to join in with questions and discussion.
The April 26 session will feature panelists Mark Reid, Sheridan County Planner; Amy Ormseth, District Ranger for the Bighorn National Forest Tongue Ranger District; and Senator Dave Kinskey.
The final session, “Where Do We Go from Here?” will be held on May 24 and will be a facilitated discussion led by Laura Lehan of Peak Consulting.
Each session will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. at Luminous Brewhouse with attendees welcome to stay after for further discussion. Participants are welcome to bring lunch. There is no cost to attend the series, and all are welcome.
