Meet the Chamber Board: Ron Lee
Currently working as the manager of Rocky Mountain Discount Sports, Ron Lee has been a staple of the local retail industry for decades. In an effort to improve himself and his community, Lee joined the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce board in 2022. Recently beginning his second term, Lee shared a bit about the experience.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’ve lived in Sheridan 22 years and have been in retail sales since 1987.
What is your role(s) with the Chamber board and/or committees and how long have you been serving on each?
I joined the Chamber Board in 2022 and recently re-upped for a second term. I joined the Chamber’s Business Retention and Expansion Committee around that same time and currently serve as its vice chair. I joined the Chamber board’s executive committee last year.
Why do you volunteer for the Chamber and what impact has it had on you?
Being my first board to serve on, it has been a great experience. The depth at which the board serves to help things move forward is substantial. Being in retail sales, the Chamber is the main voice for business, and the networking opportunities are endless.
