Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Announces Formation of Tongue River Valley Business Committee
Sheridan, WY (MARCH 31, 2026) — The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the formation of the Tongue River Valley Business Committee, a new initiative designed to strengthen connections and support economic vitality in the Tongue River Valley.
The committee’s mission is to bring together local business owners, entrepreneurs and community leaders to collaborate, promote one another and build a thriving local economy throughout the valley.
Meetings of the Tongue River Valley Business Committee are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 8 a.m. at the Ranchester Town Hall. The meetings are open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. While participation is open, only Chamber members serving on the committee are eligible to vote on committee matters.
The committee is led by Lisa Balstad, chair; Pete Kilbride, vice chair; and Cassie Morss, secretary.

The committee has already begun planning several events to engage the community and highlight local businesses. Among them is the current “Hop Around the Valley” Easter event, designed to encourage residents and visitors to explore and support businesses throughout the area.
