SHERIDAN, WY (JAN. 14, 2026) – The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2025 Bob DeFries Ambassador Service Awards.

The awards are given in honor of longtime Chamber Ambassador Bob DeFries. DeFries served on the Ambassadors’ Committee for more than 30 years. In 2017, the committee created the Ambassador Attendance Awards to recognize their fellow Ambassadors who attended the highest number of events. That first year, DeFries was the first-place winner. Following his passing in 2021, the Ambassadors renamed these awards the “Bob DeFries Ambassador Service Awards” in honor of his longtime service to the committee.

The 2025 recipients are first place — Dina Garcia-Blanchard of First Federal Bank & Trust with 100 events attended; second place — Nicole Pearce of First Federal Bank & Trust with 94 events attended; and third place — Gail Symons of WY Vote with 86 events attended. Each received Chamber Bucks and a pin.

“Our Chamber Ambassadors are the welcoming face of our organization and such dedicated volunteers,” said Teresa Detimore, CEO of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce. “The Bob DeFries Ambassador Service Awards honor not only outstanding attendance, but a true spirit of service and commitment to community—values Bob exemplified for decades. We congratulate Dina, Nicole and Gail on this well-deserved recognition, and we extend our sincere thanks to all of our Ambassadors and the more than 230 Chamber volunteers whose time, energy and passion make our work possible throughout the year.”

In total the Chamber Ambassadors assisted with 173 Chamber and community events, including 110 ribbon cuttings, Chamber Lunch Programs, Business Before and After Hours, the Big Horn Homebuilders Association Home & Garden Show, WYO Rodeo Boot Kick Off, Dayton Days Parade and more.
