30 Years of Strolling: Christmas Stroll Helps Showcase Fine Jewelry at Legacy Diamond and Gems
Christmas lights aren’t the only thing that sparkle around Christmas time, as can be seen by taking a quick look at all the fine jewelry on display at Legacy Diamond and Gems during the holiday season.
Legacy Diamond and Gems has a long history in downtown Sheridan, first beginning business as Kraft’s Jewelry in 1964. Kraft’s participated in the first Christmas Stroll 30 years ago, and through ownership and name changes, the business remains committed to participating in the event. Below, owner Tom Kraft talks a bit about why he loves the event and how it helps him showcase the fine craftsmanship of his store’s jewelry.
Why has your business been a longtime supporter of Christmas Stroll?
We have always felt that it is important to support the downtown and help in any way possible to keep it healthy. When the downtown succeeds, we succeed. I feel this event is such a strong introduction and promotion of the downtown and its wonderful businesses that exist! My favorite part of this event is the lifetime memories that it helps to create for families, along with the magic of Christmas!
Do you have a favorite Christmas Stroll theme?
I can’t say that I have a favorite Christmas Stroll theme, because I look forward each year to a new theme and the artistry of the local youth in the Stroll button designs.
How has participating in Christmas Stroll benefitted your business?
I feel the Christmas Stroll has given my business the chance to showcase our talents and artistry of our fine jewelry. It also gives thousands of shoppers an opportunity to see the quality of jewelry available here in Sheridan!
