Below, Jen shares a bit of her story and why she volunteers with the Chamber.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

After more than 15 years in healthcare leadership, I transitioned into higher education and non-profit fundraising at Sheridan College. For the past nine years, I have worn multiple hats, first as the executive director of the Sheridan College Foundation and later stepping into the role of Vice President of Student Affairs. I have a deep passion for education and community service. I have a bachelor’s in social work and a master’s in business administration. When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my son Waylon and my husband Dustin.

What is your role(s) with the Chamber board and/or committees and how long have you been serving on each?
I currently serve on the Chamber board as past president, and I’ve been on the board for eight years. I also serve on the Chamber board’s executive committee.

Why do you volunteer for the Chamber and what impact has it had on you?
I volunteer for the Chamber because I believe in the importance of supporting local businesses and creating a strong, connected community. Being part of the Chamber has allowed me to build meaningful relationships with other community leaders, contribute to impactful projects and stay informed about the issues that matter most to our community. It’s been incredibly rewarding both personally and professionally, and I’m proud to be part of something that helps move our community forward.
