Chamber welcomes new Member Relations Director

The Chamber is pleased to welcome Kelly Morris as its new Member Relations Director. Kelly is a lifelong Sheridan resident and has deep roots in the community as a business owner, artist and volunteer. She most recently operated her coffee wagon Java Gypsy beginning in 2020. After selling the business last year, Kelly decided to pursue a long-held dream: working at the Chamber.
“When I heard about this job, every aspect of this position fit me, my skill sets and my ambition,” Kelly said. “I am excited about everything we do here at the Chamber and the opportunity to be a part of this team.”
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys creating artwork, camping in the mountains and spending time with her husband Lorne and daughter Sidney. She also volunteers as a board member with SAGE Community Arts and The Unleashed Foundation, which aids the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter in training dogs to be successfully rehomed.
In her role as Member Relations Director, Kelly is responsible for ensuring the continuous and steady growth of the Chamber organization by building and maintaining a comprehensive membership recruitment, retention and services program. She is also responsible for prospecting, recruiting and onboarding new members, as well as the retention of existing members. She also will assist with selling ads and sponsorships for various projects and events and will work closely with other staff to ensure programs and benefits meet the needs of existing and future Chamber members.
Please help us welcome Kelly to the team!

New adventures await for Bobbi Mitzel
Morris fills the position previously held by Bobbi Mitzel, who left to pursue an exciting new journey as the Director of Sales at The Sheridan Press. Mitzel’s last day at the Chamber was last week, following three years of service to the organization
Bobbi’s energy, hard work, belief in the Chamber and fun personality have left a lasting mark on the Chamber and our members. While we’ll miss her dearly, we’re so proud and can’t wait to see all the great things she’ll accomplish next.
“Working at the Chamber has been the most fulfilling profession of my life thus far,” Bobbi said. “I was truly blessed when Dixie Johnson invited me to be part of such a stellar team —she has also been the strongest female mentor I’ve had in my career. It’s a bittersweet transition, because the Chamber team is the most forward-thinking, progressive, can-do group of women I know. They care deeply about Sheridan County, and I care deeply about them — they’ve truly become like family. I’m incredibly proud to have served with the number one business organization in Northeast Wyoming. The connections and relationships I’ve built over the years mean the world to me. I’m so grateful for the experiences, the people and the memories — and I’m excited to begin this next chapter at The Sheridan Press! While my role is changing, I remain just as committed to our incredible community and am always here as a trusted resource for Sheridan County.”
