Chamber Lunch: “Current State of Air Service for Sheridan & Johnson Counties”
June 12, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
$17.00Join us for June’s Chamber Lunch, “Current State of Air Service in Sheridan and Johnson Counties,” on Wednesday, June 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Sheridan.
The Commercial Air Service Improvement Act of 2018 (Senate Enrolled Act 40) created the Commercial Air Service Improvement Council to develop a long-term plan to improving air service in the state of Wyoming. The council determined pursuing a capacity purchase agreement type (CPA) for “critical need” airports and preserving the Air Service Enhancement Program (ASEP) for growth airports was the best course. The council developed a Request for Proposals for airline service to Gillette, Riverton, Rock Springs and Sheridan, and SkyWest has been selected for negotiations to provide service. SkyWest is meeting with members of each community to discuss their needs and SkyWest’s process.
Please join us for this critical conversation about air service in Sheridan and Johnson Counties.
Cost is $17 per person, which includes the lunch buffet and program.
