The 2021 Christmas Stroll will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021. Main Street and Grinnell Plaza will once again close from 4 to 8 p.m. and feature traditional festivities such as food and beverage giveaways and hay wagon rides. Fireworks will conclude the evening.

Stroll button holders will again be able to begin searching for their matching button number Stroll Day and through Christmas Eve. Get Caught Shopping will begin Stroll Day as well.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be taking pictures and visiting with children at the WYO Theater from 12 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
Stroll Buttons (pictured below) are available for sale at the Chamber Office, 24 S. Main St., and at participating businesses while supplies last. Cost remains $5 each.

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee will host its annual Legislative Forum in Sheridan starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, in the Council’s Chambers at Sheridan City Hall, 55 Grinnell Plaza.
The Legislative Forum provides an opportunity for
businesses, organizations and individuals to schedule time to bring topics
before our local state legislators prior to the next session of the Wyoming
State legislature.

The Chamber is pleased to announce the nominees, as selected by the Chamber’s Board of Directors, for the 2021 Awards of Excellence.
Voting for the nominees is now open through Wednesday, Nov. 17. Chamber members and their employees are eligible to vote. The awards categories and nominees are as follows:
Community Champion Award This award honors a Chamber member individual, business or organization that has made a significant impact in Sheridan County. Understanding that a community thrives when those in it invest and contribute to its success, the nominees demonstrate vision, ambition and drive to address needs in the community and strive for the betterment of the local area.

Strength of Sheridan Award This award honors a Chamber member business or organization that has a distinguished tenure of 20 or more years in the community. The winning design for the 26th Annual
Sheridan Christmas Stroll Button Design Contest was unveiled Tuesday, Oct. 26,
2021, during a special presentation by Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger and Sheridan
County Chamber of Commerce CEO Dixie Johnson at City Hall.
Harper Jacobson, a sixth-grade student
at Sheridan Junior High and daughter of Arik and Jeriann Jacobson, created the
winning design. Sheridan County students in Grades 1 through 6 were invited in
the spring to submit designs to the Sheridan County Chamber’s Christmas Stroll
Committee for the Stroll Button Design Contest. The committee selected the
winning design based upon how well it reflects this year’s theme, “Gingerbread
Stroll.”
Harper received a framed copy of her
button design, the first button and $100 in Chamber Bucks.
2021 Christmas Stroll Button
Stroll buttons each have a unique
number and are purchased by the public, who begin wearing them at the Christmas
Stroll. While shopping locally during Christmas Stroll and through Christmas
Eve, button wearers look in participating businesses for the number that
matches their Stroll Button. Those with matching numbers win a prize from the business
valued at $50 or more.
Stroll button purchasers are
encouraged to continue wearing their Stroll buttons on Stroll Day and throughout
the holiday shopping season for the Chamber’s “Get Caught Shopping” campaign.
If caught shopping locally in participating businesses by Chamber elves while
wearing their Stroll button, they can win Chamber Bucks in amounts from $25 to
$250.
Stroll buttons will be available for
purchase by the public the first week of November at the Sheridan County
Chamber of Commerce, 24 S. Main St., and at participating businesses. Cost
remains $5 each.
